This month’s drinks are inspired by our favorite album celebrating a 20th birthday this year: Fall Out Boy’s From Under the Cork Tree. With song titles referencing alcohol and more lyrics on top of that, it is the perfect soundtrack for all of your scars, stories, and everything in between.
Our cocktail, Gin & Kerosene, is a cross between a negroni and a black Manhattan. Classic, romantic, and bitter, just like Pete Wentz in the year 2005. Something to keep you warm while you keep your jealousy close.
There’s no pain in drinking mocktails, but with a title like “Champagne For My Real Friends, Real Pain For My Sham Friends,” we knew we had to make some Shampagne to be enjoyed at your next Hollywood soirée. You can make this sweet strawberry bellini with your favorite cheap champagne, or your very fanciest sparkling cider. Either way, everyone is shining.

“Gin & Kerosene”
1 oz gin
1 oz amaro averna
1 oz sweet vermouth
3 dashes orange bitters
Stir in a mixing glass over ice 10 times and strain over a large cube into rocks glass. Express and garnish with a torched orange peel.

“Shampagne”
1/2 oz of strawberry puree
1/2 oz lemon juice
Sparkling cider
Add strawberry puree and lemon juice into a flute glass, fill to top with sparkling cider. Garnish with a slice of strawberry.
