About us.

Who are we? Honorable Mention Magazine is a collective of music lovers shaking up the media landscape by building community and creating DIY spaces for creatives who break the mold.

Community is, and always will be, our biggest goal and our biggest strength at Honorable Mention Magazine. We were lucky enough to find each other, one by one, here and there over the years (though some of us found each other a little sooner). Slowly, but surely, we all made our way to the same place at the same time and realized what magic can happen when we’re all with the people who actively encourage each of us to be our best, most authentic selves. Running toward our dreams together is a little easier – when we’re not only the ones running the race, but the ones cheering each other on as well.

Our passion is creating a genuine space for everyone in the world of music that is so close to our hearts. When we came together, there were a lot of discussions about what we wanted to pour back into the places we cherish the most. We agreed that one of our most important core values was helping foster the community that we found in each other, and doing our part to make sure that everyone knows that this is not unattainable. There is a space for everyone where you are welcomed, valued, and uplifted. Maybe this is the first place you find it. For many of us, that’s what this community has been.
